The story behind this design
Rudolf is drawn head-on and close, filling most of the cushion, with the red nose set at the center and antlers running off the top edge. Cropping the antlers is what gives the design its scale, because a whole reindeer at cushion size would be small and fussy. The palette stays warm and limited: coat brown, a clear red, cream and one note of evergreen.
