The story behind this design
Purple carries this design almost alone, from pale lilac through to a near-black aubergine in the deepest petals, with only a thin green for the stems. The flowers are drawn at a large scale so a single bloom fills most of a 12 inch sleeve, and the composition therefore changes noticeably between the three sizes.
