The story behind this design
A meadow is not a floral pattern, it is a crowd, and the drawing treats it that way: stems at different heights, heads turned in different directions, gaps left where grass would be. Nothing repeats on a visible grid. The pinks run from almost white through to a deep rose so the surface has depth when you look down at it, which is the only angle a picnic blanket is ever really seen from.
