About This Item
The DipaliZ Diwali Greeting Cards are printed on robust uncoated cardstock with a matte finish. Each card measures 4.25" × 5.5" and is blank inside. The listing offers packs of 8, 16 and 24 cards, with size-matching white envelopes included. The cardstock is heavy enough to survive long-distance mailing, which is what these cards are built for.

The story behind this design
Uncoated cardstock is an unusual choice for a festival card, where the instinct is usually gloss and foil. It changes how the color sits: pigment sinks slightly into the fiber instead of sitting on a film, so the Diwali palette comes out matte and a shade deeper than it looks on screen. The weight is the other reason for it, since a card that crosses several time zones in a mail sack needs to arrive uncreased.

Care
Keep the cards flat and dry until you write them. Write with a ballpoint or gel pen and give the ink a moment to set, as matte uncoated stock absorbs more slowly than a glossy surface.
