The story behind this design

The restraint is the whole design. A thin arrangement of leaves and small flowers runs along the border and then stops, leaving the middle of the cover almost entirely empty so a name can sit there without competing with anything. The greens are muted to the point of being nearly gray, and the blooms are drawn at a size that reads as punctuation rather than as subject.
