Painted Petals

About This Item

The DipaliZ Painted Petals throw pillow is a painterly floral cushion that keeps the marks of the brush. The DipaliZ Painted Petals throw pillow has a cover made of 100% spun polyester with a concealed zipper, and a polyester insert is included. The artwork reproduces real brushstrokes, including the streaking left behind where the brush ran dry, so no two petals are identical. The DipaliZ Painted Petals throw pillow suits a country cottage sofa, a sunroom daybed or a room where a painting would sit happily on the wall.

The story behind this design

Painted Petals is defined by its texture. Each petal is laid down in one or two loaded strokes, so the pigment pools at the start of the stroke and thins toward the tip, and the bristle marks stay visible in the dry-brush passages. Colors blend where wet strokes met on the original, producing soft secondary tones that a digital fill could not fake. The mood is loose, generous and unmistakably painterly.
