The story behind this design
The saxophone is drawn at an angle steep enough that the bell breaks the top edge of the artwork, which suggests the instrument continues past the frame. Buildings behind it are reduced to rectangles of two heights, so they read as a skyline without pulling focus. Because two of the four shirts are pale, the artwork uses mid-tones rather than white.
