About This Item
This DipaliZ doormat is a tufted coir mat, 24 by 16 inches, lettered Keep Calm and Chirp On with a bird motif. The surface is coir from coconut husk on a black vinyl backing. Because the design is lettered, the mat has a right way up and should be laid so the words read to a visitor. One size and one design are offered. Size and materials here are read from this listing's own records.

The story behind this design
The joke is carried entirely by the typography: the familiar poster cadence is kept and only the verb is swapped, so the eye finishes the line before it notices the change. A single bird perches at the end of the text rather than above it, which is what keeps the layout from looking like a motivational print. The mood is dry and affectionate, the only mat in this coir range that is trying to be funny.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What does the mat say?
A: It reads Keep Calm and Chirp On, set with a bird motif.
Q: What are the dimensions and the material?
A: The mat is 24 by 16 inches, made of tufted coir coconut fiber on a black vinyl backing.
Q: Is this a good gift for a bird watcher?
A: It is written as one. The joke is bird-specific rather than generic, so it lands with someone who keeps feeders or a bird list.
Q: Which way up does it go?
A: The lettering sets the orientation, so there is a right way up. Lay the mat with the text readable to someone approaching the door.
Care
Shake or vacuum the mat to clear grit. Clean marks with a dry brush instead of water, because coir holds damp. Shelter it from standing water and never machine wash it.
