The story behind this design
A wreath is a closed shape and that changes how a mat sits on a table: where an open sprig has a direction and needs orienting, a circle reads correctly from every chair. Two wreaths of olive branch are drawn here with the stems visibly crossed at the base, and the oil bottle stands between them to break the symmetry. Everything is in one ink green over the tan hide, with the leaves left open enough to see the leather through the gaps.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How large is this DipaliZ placemat?
A: It measures 9 by 7.5 inches and is sold as a single mat.
Q: What is it made of?
A: Leather, with the print applied over the natural tone of the hide.
Q: What does the design show?
A: Olive branches closed into circular wreaths, with an oil bottle set among them.
Q: How does this differ from the other DipaliZ olive placemats?
A: The layout. Here the branches form closed wreaths, while the Mediterranean and Oliva Italiana mats run their branches as open diagonal sprigs.
Q: Can it be used at Christmas?
A: Yes. A wreath reads as a holiday shape without any seasonal color, so the same mat works through December and the rest of the year.
Care
Wipe the DipaliZ Olive Branch Wreath Placemat with a dry or barely damp cloth and air dry it flat. Do not soak, machine wash or dishwasher it, and keep it away from direct heat.
