About This Item
The DipaliZ Geometric Travel Tumbler is an insulated stainless steel drinking cup for use away from the kitchen. The tumbler holds 15 oz and is made from stainless steel. An original geometric pattern is printed around the outside of the body. This is the cup for a commute, a site visit or a long drive, where a ceramic mug is the wrong tool entirely.
Product details
- Product type: insulated travel tumbler
- Capacity: 15 oz
- Material: stainless steel
- Form: straight-sided tumbler, no handle
- Artwork: original DipaliZ modern geometric design
The capacity above is read from this listing's own variant option, which records 15 oz rather than the 16 oz named in the product title.
The story behind this design
The design works in vertical bands, which is the one thing a tall cylinder does better than a flat surface — the pattern reads as a column rather than a repeat. Triangles and narrow rectangles alternate in slate, teal and a warm sand, with the steel left visible at the rim so the printed area has a hard edge to sit against. Nothing curves; the whole piece is built from straight lines.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What capacity is the DipaliZ geometric travel tumbler?
A: The tumbler holds 15 oz. That is the only size listed for it, even though the product name mentions 16 oz.
Q: What is this travel tumbler made from?
A: The DipaliZ geometric travel tumbler is made from stainless steel.
Q: Is this a tumbler or a mug with a handle?
A: This listing is a tumbler, a straight-sided travel cup without a handle. DipaliZ also sells a 14 oz steel travel mug that does have a handle.
Q: Can the DipaliZ steel tumbler be used for cold drinks?
A: Yes. An insulated stainless steel tumbler holds cold drinks as well as hot ones.
Care
Hand wash the tumbler in warm soapy water and dry it upside down with the lid off. Keep a printed steel cup out of a dishwasher, where heat and detergent will lift a printed finish. Do not put it in a microwave or a freezer, and do not use an abrasive pad on the printed band.
