The story behind this design

The cover is painted rather than drawn, in the loose watercolor register of a kitchen notebook someone has kept for years: soft washes of sage and butter yellow behind simple kitchen shapes, with the edges left soft so nothing looks printed on. The name sits in the clear space at the center, in a hand that matches the brushwork rather than fighting it. It is a design made to look already used, which is the right note for a book that will end up splashed.

Frequently asked questions

Q: How is this notebook personalized?
A: You enter the name you want on the product page before ordering. The name shown in the photographs is a sample.

Q: How is the notebook bound?
A: It is spiral bound along one edge, which matters for a recipe book because it will stay open on a countertop.

Q: Is there a size to choose?
A: No. This notebook is sold in a single size.

Q: Does the notebook come with recipes already in it?
A: No. The pages are yours to fill in by hand, which is the point of a recipe keeper rather than a cookbook.

Q: Who is this notebook a good gift for?
A: Anyone who cooks from family recipes, a new home cook, or someone leaving home who wants their own copies of the dishes they grew up with.

Care

Keep the DipaliZ Personalized Recipe Spiral Notebook away from the stovetop and the sink, since paper and steam do not mix, and wipe splashes from the cover rather than rinsing it. Check the spelling of the name on screen before ordering, as each notebook is printed to your text.
