The story behind this design

A blank card has to carry its whole personality on the outside, since nothing inside is doing any work. The reindeer here is drawn large enough to fill most of the front and the Merry Christmas lettering is set into the artwork rather than floated above it. Uncoated matte stock takes a pen well, which is the practical reason this design was given a blank interior rather than a printed greeting.
