The story behind this design
Fitting a wide landscape scene onto a cropped body meant cutting the horizon and bringing the canoe forward until it fills most of the frame. On the three dark colourways the snow is printed opaque so the figure holds against the cloth; on vintage white it is left to the garment itself. That difference changes how much of the water you actually see.
