DipaliZ Space Rocket Exoplanet High Gloss Poster Art

The DipaliZ Space Rocket Exoplanet Poster is an unframed art print of a rocket on an exploration mission, with an exoplanet filling the scene behind it. The print uses 185 gsm high-gloss poster paper, a stock chosen because a gloss surface holds the deep blacks that a space subject depends on. Four vertical sizes are offered, from 11.7 by 16.5 inches to 33.1 by 46.8 inches. Vertical framing suits a rocket, since the format follows the direction of travel.

The story behind this design

Space art usually chooses between the machine and the destination. This composition keeps both in frame and plays them against each other in scale, with the rocket small and hard-edged against a planet large enough to run off the edges of the sheet. The palette works in deep blues and blacks with one warm flare at the engines, which is the only place in the picture where anything looks hot. The effect is distance made legible.
