The story behind this design

This cover is built on repetition rather than on a focal flower: small and medium summer blooms are set at an even density from edge to edge, with leaves filling the gaps, so the pattern holds together as a surface rather than a picture. Yellow, turquoise and a warm pink sit at roughly equal weight, which gives the whole cover a bright, even hum. The name is printed over the pattern rather than into a clearing, so the flowers continue behind it.
