About This Item
The DipaliZ Tropical Palm Tree Journal is a spiral-bound journal with a printed island cover. Whole palm trees stand against open sky, so the cover reads as a location rather than a plant study. Spiral binding lets it fold flat, which is what you want in a bag or on a lounger. DipaliZ makes it in one size, as the selector on this page shows.

The story behind this design
Drawing a whole palm is harder than drawing a frond, because the trunk has to carry the weight and the crown has to look loose rather than symmetrical. This design solves it by leaning the trunks slightly off vertical and letting the fronds hang unevenly, the way wind leaves them. The sky behind is left almost empty, which is what gives the cover its stillness and makes the trees read as somewhere hot and quiet.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What size is this DipaliZ journal?
A: It is made in one size, as the size selector on this page shows.
Q: What is on the cover?
A: Whole palm trees against open sky, so the cover reads as a place rather than a plant study.
Q: Is this spiral bound?
A: Yes. The spiral lets it fold flat, which is useful in a bag or on a sun lounger.
Q: How does this differ from the DipaliZ tropical foliage spiral journal?
A: This one steps back to show whole palms and sky. The foliage journal moves in close until the leaves fill the cover.
Q: How should the journal be looked after?
A: Keep it dry and out of direct sunlight. Wipe the cover with a dry cloth.
