The story behind this design
A sunflower is mostly a dark center ringed by long petals, which gives the print a strong repeat even before color is added. Drawn large, three or four heads fill the bodice and the rest march down the skirt. Deep yellow petals against a brown-black center and a few green leaves is the whole palette, and it needs nothing else.
