The story behind this design
A white track pant is a deliberate inversion of the form, since the point of a dark jogger is that it hides everything. Running the stripe in black against white reverses the usual contrast, so the leg line reads as drawn rather than trimmed, and the stripes are kept narrow and set a little forward of the side seam, which lengthens the leg visually.
