The story behind this design
The emblem borrows from old tool-company and workwear badges rather than greeting-card lettering: a double-ruled circle, a banner across the middle and small starbursts at either side. Worn edges and a slightly broken outline are drawn deliberately so the badge looks as though it has been on something for forty years. Warm ochre and a faded oxblood do all the work, with no gradients anywhere.
