About This Item
This DipaliZ placemat is a 100% cotton dining placemat printed with a festive Christmas drinks design. One size is listed, 18 by 14 inches, which takes a dinner plate with room for cutlery on either side. Cotton rather than laminate or cork is the difference worth knowing: a cotton mat softens the sound of a plate going down and goes in the wash afterwards rather than being wiped. The page lists a single mat, so a table of six means six. It suits a Christmas dinner table, a drinks evening, or a sideboard.

The story behind this design
The design is built from drinks rather than from holly: coupe glasses, a decanter, sprigs of rosemary and slices of orange arranged across the mat as though the table had already been used. Deep reds and greens sit against cream, with gold on the glass rims. It is a Christmas design aimed at the adults' end of the table, and it reads as warm without a single Santa in it.
