About This Item
The DipaliZ Baby Swaddle Blanket is a jersey infant wrap measuring 30 inches by 40 inches, made from 100% polyester and printed with an original DipaliZ duckling design. The blanket is offered in white. A swaddle blanket is one of the few newborn gifts that stays useful past the first months, since it becomes a pram cover, a nursing cover and then a play mat. The duckling artwork suits a nursery built around animals rather than around a colour scheme.

The story behind this design
Ducklings are drawn here at a small scale and repeated, rather than given one large central character, so the pattern works whichever way the blanket is folded or draped. DipaliZ kept the linework soft and the shapes rounded, with no hard outlines that would read as harsh against a white ground. The mood is gentle and quiet, pitched to a nursery rather than a playroom.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Is this swaddle blanket cotton or polyester?
A: Polyester. The material recorded for this blanket is 100% polyester, and its tags describe it as 100% jersey polyester. The word cotton in the product title is not supported by the product data.
Q: What size is the duckling swaddle blanket?
A: 30 inches by 40 inches, the single size listed in the size option on this page.
Q: What colour is the blanket?
A: White, the only colour in the option list, with the DipaliZ duckling artwork printed over it.
Q: What can a swaddle blanket be used for besides swaddling?
A: A 30 by 40 inch jersey blanket also works as a pram cover, a changing mat liner, a nursing cover or a play mat for tummy time.
Care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low. Wash before first use, keep bleach and fabric softener away from the print, and never leave loose bedding in a cot with a sleeping baby.
