About This Item
The DipaliZ autumn landscape beer stein is a 22 fl oz white ceramic stein-style mug printed with a fall landscape in yellow foliage. Ceramic gives the stein its weight and keeps a drink cold longer than a thin-walled mug would. Gold-coloured detailing is applied to the piece, which is why it must be hand washed and kept out of the microwave. At 22 fl oz it holds roughly a pint and a third.

The story behind this design
A stein is nearly cylindrical and taller than it is wide, so the landscape is composed as a continuous band that wraps the whole body with no beginning or end: turn the stein and the treeline simply carries on. Yellow foliage is the dominant note, set against a distant blue ridge that gives the scene depth without competing. The gold detailing picks up the same yellow, which is why it was chosen over silver.
