The story behind this design

The drawing borrows from mid-century diner signage rather than from a modern coffee chain: a tall cup, a curl of steam and lettering that leans. Warm ochre and cinnamon carry the cup, with a thin cream line doing the work of highlights. Beehive and Natural in the colour range were picked because an undyed or golden ground makes the drink read as warm before the eye reaches the drawing.
