The story behind this design
Bohemian floral is a looser discipline than a botanical print: flowers get simplified into repeated marks, stems bend further than they should, and symmetry is avoided on purpose. This design builds the whole surface out of a small vocabulary of shapes used over and over at different scales, which is exactly how hand-painted folk textiles are constructed. On the white version the negative space between the marks does as much work as the marks do.
