The story behind this design
A dense floral has no empty space to rest in, so the drawing has to control scale instead: two or three large blooms per repeat, mid-sized flowers filling around them and tiny buds closing the last gaps. The palette stays in dusty rose, sage and cream, which is what makes a crowded pattern read as vintage rather than as loud. Nothing is outlined, so the layers blend where they meet.
