The story behind this design

The butterfly is placed above the name rather than beside it, so the insect reads as alighting on the lettering. Foliage is kept to the cover edges, which leaves a clear band through the middle where a long or a short name will both sit comfortably. The mood is gentle and personal, a design built around the name instead of one with a name added afterward.

Frequently asked questions

Q: How do I add the name?
A: You type it into the personalization field on the product page before adding the journal to the cart. The name in the photographs is a sample.

Q: Is this hardcover or softcover?
A: Hardcover. The journal has rigid boards rather than a flexible cover.

Q: Are the pages lined?
A: Yes, the interior pages are lined.

Q: What is on the cover?
A: A butterfly set in a floral and botanical design, with the name you supply printed below it.

Care

Keep the journal dry, because a hardcover board warps once damp. Store it upright on a shelf. Wipe the cover with a dry cloth rather than a wet one.
