The story behind this design

Marble veining is usually drawn cold, in slate and white. Here it is warmed all the way into blush and rose, with the veins running thin and gold-edged so the stone reads more like the endpaper of an old book than like a countertop. The label panel over it is ruled and empty, which is an invitation to write on the cover yourself.

Care

Keep the notebook dry and store it upright or flat rather than loose in a bag, so the wire spiral does not catch and bend out of shape. A barely damp cloth lifts marks off the cover. Long spells in direct sunlight fade printed covers, so keep it off a sunny windowsill.
