About This Item
The DipaliZ Pumpkin King Mug is a black ceramic coffee mug carrying an original Halloween design. The mug is sold in 11 oz and 15 oz, with a glossy black base and a handle. It is listed as microwave and dishwasher safe, and the artwork is applied by sublimation so it sits in the glaze rather than on top of it. This mug suits October mornings, coffee drinkers and anyone who takes Halloween seriously enough to change mugs for it.

The story behind this design
Printing a Halloween design on a black base rather than a white one is the decision that makes this mug work, because the artwork glows out of the dark ground the way a carved lantern does. The Pumpkin King name gives the motif a bit of ceremony, which suits a mug you only bring out for one month of the year. It is the drinkware equivalent of putting the decorations up early.
