The Santa here is the same character drawn in a lighter register: hat and beard sketched with an economical line, the red kept flat rather than shaded, and no background at all behind him. On a Heather Red or Sport Grey shirt the cream of the beard carries the shape; on Black the red hat does the work. It is a design made to be printed small and still recognized across a room.
