The story behind this design

The mandala is built outward from Ganesha rather than around him: the trunk curve starts a line that becomes a petal ring, which becomes a border of repeating lotus forms. DipaliZ kept the whole thing to a single ink weight so the eye travels the pattern instead of stopping at a focal point. On the softer colourways, Natural and Heather Ice Blue especially, the linework reads almost like a block print.
