The story behind this design

Warm red is the hinge this design turns on. A cool or blue-leaning red reads as a warning sign, while a warm one reads as affection, and the difference is only a few degrees of hue. The hearts are drawn with a slight wobble in the outline so they look made by hand rather than placed by software, which is the right register for a sheet that gets torn open in a few seconds.

Care

Store the wrapping paper rolled rather than folded and keep it somewhere dry, since damp softens paper and a crease shows through a finished parcel. Cut it against a straight edge.
