The story behind this design
A waterfall is mostly a problem of negative space, and this painting solves it by leaving the falling water almost unpainted: the white of the ground carries the drop while everything around it, wet rock, moss, overhanging branches, is built up in deep greens and slate. Mist is suggested by softening the base of the fall rather than adding grey. The result is a landscape that stays quiet on a desk, which is more than most scenic covers manage.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Are the pages ruled?
A: Yes. The DipaliZ Waterfall Landscape Spiral Notebook has ruled pages throughout.
Q: How is the notebook bound?
A: It is spiral bound along one edge, so it opens flat and folds back for long stretches of writing.
Q: Is there a size to choose?
A: No. This notebook is sold in a single size.
Q: Is the waterfall a real place?
A: No. The scene is an original painted landscape rather than a photograph or a named location.
Q: Can a name be added to the cover?
A: Not on this listing. The DipaliZ personalized notebooks are separate listings if you want a name printed on the cover.
Care
Keep the DipaliZ Waterfall Landscape Spiral Notebook dry and out of direct sunlight so the deep greens hold their depth. Store it upright rather than under a stack to keep the spiral true.
