The story behind this design
The bands were drawn long on purpose so that the pattern reads as one movement across the bed instead of a grid of tiles. Where two bands meet they break into short angles rather than crossing cleanly, which is the small irregularity the whole design rests on. Slate, stone and white keep it architectural; any warmer tone would have pulled it toward a fabric print.
