The story behind this design
The cacti are drawn in outline with almost no shading, three or four silhouettes repeated at different scales so the repeat does not announce itself. Colors stay in a narrow desert range, a dusty sage against warm sand, with the occasional small bloom in coral as the only bright note. It was drawn to be read as texture from across a room and as individual plants close up.
