The story behind this design
A quatrefoil trellis is a lesson in interlocking: each four-lobed shape has to hand off to the next without leaving a gap, and the outline weight has to stay even all the way round or the lattice reads as lumpy. Light blue was chosen over navy because this pattern is dense, and at this scale a dark line would turn the whole face into a grid.
