The story behind this design
Two jokes are running at once here: a cat is already the animal least likely to share a console, and an alien has presumably traveled a long way to play something from 1983. The cabinet is drawn in the boxy wood-panel shape arcade machines had before they got sleek, with a screen glow thrown up onto the cat's face. Everything is kept in mint, lilac and cream so the whole scene stays soft rather than neon.
