The story behind this design
A single small bird sits off-center on the front panel with a wide margin around it, so the sleeve looks mostly empty and the bird becomes the whole composition. The drawing is simple enough to survive at 7 inches and still hold at 17. The mood is a sketchbook corner rather than a pattern.
