About This Item
This DipaliZ doormat is a tufted coir mat measuring 24 by 16 inches, printed with a shoal of fish. The fiber is coir taken from coconut husk, set on a black vinyl backing. Coarse coir pulls sand and grit off shoe soles, which is what makes this mat a sensible choice at a coastal door. The design carries no lettering, only the fish. Size and materials given here come from this listing's own records.

The story behind this design
Several fish are set swimming in loose formation rather than in a repeating pattern, so no two sit at the same angle. The drawing favors outline and fin detail over solid blocks of color, which keeps the shapes readable on the rough coir surface. The mood is easy and coastal, closer to a tackle-shop sign than to an aquarium print.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What size is this doormat?
A: 24 by 16 inches, in a single size.
Q: What is it made from?
A: Tufted coir coconut fiber on a black vinyl backing.
Q: Is this suitable for a beach house?
A: Coir is built for exactly that job. The coarse fiber scrapes sand off the soles of shoes before it reaches an indoor floor.
Q: Does the design include lettering?
A: No. This mat carries the fish design alone, with no words. The bird mat in the same DipaliZ coir range is the lettered one.
Care
Shake the mat out or vacuum it to clear sand and grit. Brush marks off dry rather than washing it, since soaked coir stays damp for days. Keep it out of standing water and out of a washing machine.
