The story behind this design
These are meadow flowers rather than cultivated ones: thin stems, small heads, nothing symmetrical. Pale blue and peach wash into each other wherever two blooms touch, and the stems are left as single dry strokes. Pairing blue with peach rather than with pink is what stops it reading as a nursery print.
