The story behind this design
Starting from the orange rather than from the flowers is what makes this design read as warm before it reads as floral. The blooms were kept cream and white so that none of them competes with the ground for attention. Space was left deliberately between the flowers; crowding them would have turned the orange into an outline instead of a field.
