The story behind this design
The frog is drawn in a cartoon register with oversized eyes and a small body, the proportions that read as friendly rather than realistic. Only three or four flat colors are used, with no shading at all, which is what keeps the design legible across ash, white and indigo blue alike. It sits centered on the chest at a generous scale, because a small version of this drawing would lose the eyes entirely.
