The story behind this design
Gingerbread is a brown subject, and brown is the hardest thing to make appetizing on paper. The trick used here is contrast rather than color correction: piped white icing outlines every roof and window, and a few candy reds sit at the sharpest points, so the eye reads sugar instead of mud. The houses are drawn at slightly different tilts, as though they were assembled by hand and not quite level.
Frequently asked questions

Q: What is printed on it?
A: Gingerbread houses, candy canes and iced cookies, in warm browns with white icing and candy reds.
Q: Which size covers more gifts?
A: The 28 by 79 inch sheet is the longer of the two and is the one to pick for several parcels.
Care
Store the wrapping paper rolled rather than folded and keep it somewhere dry, since damp softens paper and a crease shows through a finished parcel. Cut it against a straight edge.
