About This Item
This DipaliZ hardcover journal has a gold mandala printed on a matte black cover. The pages inside are lined, so the book suits daily writing, gratitude notes or reflection rather than sketching. The cover is hardbound, which lets the journal sit flat on a desk or stand upright on a shelf. It is sold in a single size.

The story behind this design
A mandala is built from the center outward, and this one keeps that discipline: concentric rings of petals and points that repeat until they meet the edge of the cover. Printing it in gold on a matte black ground turns the whole figure into something that only appears when the light moves across it. The effect is closer to a bookbinder's blocking than to a printed cover, which is what makes the book worth leaving out on a table.
