About This Item
This Happy Diwali card from DipaliZ is a 5 by 7 inch folded paper card printed in deep green and gold. A traditional oil lamp, the diya lit through the festival, sits at the center of the front with the greeting above it. Coated and matte paper are both available, and the quantity option covers 1, 10, 30 and 50 cards. The green ground sets this card apart from the dark and amber versions in the same family. All figures above come from the options on this page.

The story behind this design
Green is the unusual choice here. Most Diwali artwork reaches for black, maroon or indigo behind a flame, and this card instead uses a deep forest tone that makes the gold read cooler and more formal. The lamp is drawn with a heavy base and a narrow neck, closer to a brass temple lamp than a clay one, and the gold is confined to the metal and the lettering.
