The story behind this design

The scene holds Lake Tahoe at its coldest: an ice-edged shore, water flattened to a sheet of gray-blue, and snow smoothing every rock along the bank. The palette is almost entirely cool, built from white, slate and washed winter blue with only the faintest warm light on the far ridgeline. The mood is silent and wide open, the kind of view that makes a room feel a few degrees quieter.
