The story behind this design
Almost the entire picture is built from one colour family. Yellow runs from pale butter at the top of the pile to a deep amber where the fruit sits in shadow inside the bowl, and the surrounding table is kept muted so nothing pulls attention away. Grouping the fruit in a vessel rather than scattering it gives the image a settled, domestic weight. The mood is warm and generous, like a kitchen in late morning light.
