DipaliZ Paint Splats Pillow Washable Cover 18x18 Size

The DipaliZ Paint Splats pillow is an abstract accent cushion with a washable printed cover. The DipaliZ Paint Splats pillow has a cover made of 100% spun polyester with a concealed zipper, and a polyester insert is included. The artwork records flung paint: round blotches with thrown-off droplets scattered around them, kept loose rather than tidied into a repeat. The DipaliZ Paint Splats pillow suits studios, creative workspaces and modern rooms where an abstract mark works better than a flower or a photograph.

The story behind this design

Paint Splats keeps the accident in the artwork. Each blotch has a heavy centre where the paint landed and a spray of smaller droplets thrown out behind it, so the eye can trace the direction each mark travelled. The colors overlap without blending into mud, and negative space is left deliberately open so the composition breathes. The mood is energetic and slightly irreverent, the visual equivalent of a studio floor rather than a finished canvas.
