The story behind this design
Nautical nursery artwork almost always arrives in navy and primary red, and softening it was the whole idea here. The sailboats keep their recognizable triangle sails, but the palette moves to powder blue, sand and pale coral. Anchors and fish fill the gaps between the boats so the repeat has three scales of motif rather than one.
