The story behind this design
Feather eyes are tiled across the whole field in overlapping rows, each one drawn with its own gradient from bronze through emerald to a blue center. Because the repeat is dense and regular, the piece behaves like a textile pattern rather than a picture of a bird. Light catching the polyester gives the eyes a faint iridescence, which is as close as a print gets to the real thing.
