The floral was simplified until it could be stitched without becoming a dense block of thread: petals are outlined and left open in the center, with only the core filled solid. That openness is what keeps the motif light on a polo rather than heavy like a badge. It was drawn to work on a mid-gray as well as on white, which meant avoiding pale tones that would disappear against Sport Grey.
